my role
In my last role employed within an organisation, I honed many of the skills I provide now as a freelancer. I built strong working relationships with playwrights, organisations, and other stakeholders across Scotland through project managing a number of national support programmes. I also successfully sourced funding for the redevelopment of the organisation’s website and implemented a new Customer Relationship Management system (Salesforce). I managed all organisational communications, from creating a new Digital Strategy to developing marketing strategies and creating copy for all events and activities. I designed all visual assets, including animations, data visualisation, and video editing. I managed organisational evaluation processes, utilising data to test outcomes, improve services, develop audiences and maintain relationships

During my time working as Communications & Projects Coordinator at Playwrights’ Studio, Scotland, the organisation’s social media following across all channels increased by 29%. The aim of the Playwrights’ Studio that fell directly under my remit was to “Actively promote Scotland's playwrights, their plays and the craft of playwriting.” Playwright satisfaction in this area improved from 56% to 69% within two years of me starting in the role.
